THE VINEYARDS

A Methodist preacher, The Reverend Veeder and his congregation found inspiration on the rugged slopes of the mountain that would bear his name. One hundred and thirty years later, Donald Hess was struck by the beauty of this land and the old vines that clung to the mountainside. The choice of the land is vital to creating distinctive wines; sense of place, the combination of climate and terrian, creates the essence of our wine.

HESS COLLECTION MOUNT VEEDER - NAPA VALLEY

Hess Mount Veeder wines express the specific terroir of Mount Veeder. They are created by influences of altitude, the cooling marine air of the bay and a mix of volcanic and sedimentary clay soils. This combination of factors creates a very specific viticultural region that yields multifaceted wines that reveal the mountain's distinctive personality.
