Casa Nuestra, which means "our house" was established in the Napa Valley in 1979 and continues to produce only about 1,500 cases annually from the estate's vineyards located in both St. Helena and Oakville. The Casa staff of six, proudly produce rare wines of special interest that represent an old- world, traditional wine list not effected by current marketing trends. Visitors are invited to enjoy the laid-back, homey, flavor of the place along with the wines. Tastings and tours begin in the informal and charming atmosphere of an authentic Napa Valley farmhouse adorned with old rock and roll posters, peace signs and Elvis Presley memorabilia.

The tasting room experience and specialty wines offered were recently applauded by Matt Kramer, columnist for Wine Spectator and author of the book New California Wine published, 2005. About Casa Nuestra he writes: "This might well be Napa Valley's most endearing small winery… Truth be told, Casa Nuestra is almost a museum piece of an old Napa Valley. Get it while you can."

The rare varieties and unique blends that have been Casa Nuestra's repute include eleven wines: Meritage, a Bordeaux style blend; Merlot; Cabernet Franc; Cabernet Sauvignon; dry Chenin Blanc; French Colombard, in a Late Harvest style; Rosado, a dry, Loire Valley style Rosé; White Riesling; Two Goats Red, a Napa Valley Red Wine; and Tinto St. Helena and Tinto Classico Old Vines, Chianti style blends made from two unique field blended vineyards. All are award winning with each vintage receiving much acclaim.

Casa Nuestra productions are very limited and not easily found outside of the winery, if at all. Feel free to sample our wines by making an appointment to visit the winery's tasting room, ordering them securely, on-line here or joining our Club Casa for regular shipments of three bottles each quarter.

Casa Nuestra's Wine List

"The wines of Casa Nuestra are personal. This attitude begins in the soil of our vineyards where we have an earth-friendly commitment: from our sustainable farming practices to the use of bio-diesel vineyard equipment and solar panels supplying energy for all of our winery & vineyard operations. We take pride in these old, well-established vineyards (that may be considered out of style elsewhere). Some of which date back more than sixty years! All of the grapes are picked and sorted by the hands of the folks who tend to them all year long. In the cellar, we use the gentlest of pumps, small presses and of course a variety of oak barrels for ageing. We believe you will find this harmonious attitude obvious in our small productions of these rare varietals and unique blends. They are each rich in character, tradition and history."
